Lindy Hop
The Lindy Hop is the name given to the most popular Swing Dance ever. Otherwise known as the Jitterbug, or simply Swing, the Lindy Hop is a danc, which like Jazz itself, is largely based on IMPROVISATION. The idea being to combine the basic steps used (single, triple and kicks) to create interesting patterns with your partner. The most popular moves in Lindy are the Swing-Out, Lindy-Circle, Sugar-Push and of course inside and outside turns.
The Lindy-Hop was named after the famous first transatlantic flight of Charles Lindbergh when "Lindy-Hopped the Atlantic" in his plane the Spirit of St-Louis. This dance can easily be recognized by it's energy and aerial moves can be integrated easily in various familiar patterns
