Courtesy is the golden rule. Dance invitations are reciprocal, and what comes next is never guaranteed, except by mutual agreement. Studio 88 Swing is a public place where you can learn and practice dance with people who share your passion. We encourage diversity in all its forms, aspiring to ideas from both our clientele and our internal team. We believe we can take you away from your daily routine after a long day at work, help you relax amidst stressful school deadlines, and even make you forget about that tough boss. Above all, we are committed to providing high-quality dance lessons with a serious approach to the techniques taught, but always with a touch of humor.
To provide you with this experience, we need your cooperation when you come to the Studio or our events.
Echoing Ms. Aretha Franklin: R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Studio 88 Swing will not tolerate any form of harassment, be it psychological, physical, sexual, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, religion, nationality, or any other factor.
Studio 88 Swing is not for "speed dating". While 88 Swing attracts many beautiful and charming people, if someone is flirting to the point of making others uncomfortable, we will have to ask them to leave.
Know your alcohol limit. During one of our events where alcohol is served, if you've had too much, it'll be at our discretion to refuse to serve you another drink. But, you know, we're helpful! We can even call you a taxi. Another IMPORTANT reminder: if you're underage and drink at one of our events, not only will we remove you from the bar, but this could also lead to a lifetime ban from our events (wouldn't that be terrible?).
Be kind to our employees. We are pleasant, honest people, always filled with goodwill. Sometimes mistakes can happen... sometimes even beyond our control. If there's anything you're unhappy about, please be kind to the employees... be courteous.
Night noises can be disturbing. When leaving the premises, be it the Studio or a bar during events, please keep your LOUD enthusiasm to a minimum. We love our neighbors, and they seem to love us back. Let's keep it that way, alright?
In short, we're not your parents. So, please, act like responsible adults. That's all!
